American Legion Post 123
We would like to recognize Seligman's American Legion for the community service they provide. One of the major contributions to the community is the weekly distribution of food from their food bank which averages 66 families in the Seligman and Ashfork communities. Volunteers pick up food from Prescott Valley and Flagstaff at their own expense weekly to distribute food at The American Legion. Quite a charitable endeavor.
The American Legion also collected a sizeable donation for Corporal Tyrell Manakaja, from Seligman who was is convelessing in the hospital from injuries he recieved while serving in Iraq.
Commander Joseph Kanakiewicz has also initiated a program to distribute drug awareness pamphlets to Seligman High School. A hearty thanks to Joe for his charitable contibutions to the community.
